A Symphony for Lucerne

How does Lucerne sound? Which sounds and tones are typical or unique for this city? Lucerne has a different soundscape in every place, at every time of day or season. If you put all these recorded sound pieces together, you get a unique sound picture of Lucerne. Tod Machover was inspired by the sounds sent in and composed a symphony for Lucerne, which was premiered by the LUCERNE FESTIVAL ACADEMY Orchestra on September 5, 2015.

We developed the communication concept and the design, Text, Webdesign Photography and Social Media in collaboration with MIT Media Lab.
